cleaning is the first step of any rebuilding job. A second washing carries out after disassembling of all components from locomotives and prior to starting the repair and rebuilding activities .

This workshop is equipped with a 30 tones lifting crane and 4 sets of 30 tones hydraulic jacks in order to disassemble all locomotive major components including engine, alternator, air compressor, cooling system, Air brake equipment and electrical system.

TLA blasts all locomotives bodies that are subjected to complete rebuild and refurbishment.

The locomotives bodies will pass this workshop to get painted and dried by heaters.

At the Truck workshop we perform the following activities:

•  Taming control (control of truck frame deflection)
•  Wheel and Axle assembly with special tools
•  Truck springs load test
•  Machining of truck frame
•  NDT tests
•  Bolster and truck frame welding
•  Assembly of wheels and axles to the traction motors
•  Final truck assembly and inspection tests

•  Special cleaning of the braking equipments
•  Pneumatic valves test simulating
•  Manufacturing of related repair kits
•  Installation of air brake components on the locomotive

•  Relays and contactors test
•  AC & DC starting drivers and power supplies repair and service
• Electrical Panels rebuild and test

We perform the following activities in this workshop:

•  Disassembly and assembly of engine components
•  Mainframe cleaning with injection system
•  Welding
•  Machining and boring
•  Balancing
•   Special tests like NDT tests at the laboratory

The repaired and refurbished components as well as the new OEM components are gathered in this workshop to be assembled. The facilities of this workshop consists of 7 assembly lines, 2 lifting cranes and one hydraulic lifting jack. All major components are assembled in these stations on the locomotives.
